Delivery
Information
We
offer nationwide delivery with NO extra delivery fees, wire fees or surcharges.
Delivery is made by one of the 35,000 local florists who are part of
our global network (we several different electronic floral networks). Same day delivery is usually available Monday-Saturday
for orders received before 12 noon in the recipient's time zone (excluding
holidays). Orders received after 12 noon in the recipient's time zone
may be delivered the next delivery day. We can not guarantee deliveries
on Sundays and legal holidays. Deliveries requested on these days will
be delivered the following business day. Normal delivery hours are 10am-6pm.
You can request a particular delivery time, but we can not guarantee
it will be delivered at that time. Remote locations, cemeteries, and
rural addresses sometimes require additional notice in order to get
the delivery made. For orders to funeral homes, the local florist will
coordinate delivery with the funeral home so the flowers arrive at the
correct time. Public schools do not accept deliveries for students,
so please deliver to their home address instead. We are unable to deliver
flowers to a P.O. Box or a military (APO/FPO) address. Orders to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Alaska may sometimes have additional charges, but we will let you know ahead of time in those cases.
If the recipient is not home, the delivering florist may choose to leave
the arrangement with a neighbor and put a note to the recipient's door
telling them who accepted the arrangement on their behalf. The florist
may also leave a note on the recipient's door asking the recipient to
call the flower shop and arrange a convenient time for re-delivery.
If the recipient is at work during the day, we suggest sending the flowers
to that location.
After you place your order, we will send you an email confirming that
your order was processed. If you have a question about your order or
need to make a change to it, please email us at support@GetFlowers.com.
Because orders you place through our site are delivered by a network
of florists nationwide, we are not able to provide order delivery confirmations
or estimated delivery times. Also, sometimes it may appear than an order
is late, but in reality delivery was attempted, but either the recipient
was not home or neighbors were not available to accept the order. In
these cases, the local florist will attempt to deliver the order at
another time, possibly causing a delay.
We offer a full money back guarantee if your flowers were not delivered
within a reasonable amount of time. If they were delivered, but the
recipient is not satisfied with the quality of the arrangment, they
can contact the local florist that made the delivery and the florist will deliver
a replacement order at no cost. On some orders, the local florist may
make a mistake, like forgetting to deliver balloons with the order.
Or, in rural areas, sometimes the florist might be out of whatever was
ordered, so they deliver something else instead. In these cases the
recipient can contact the local florist to resolve the issue, or you
can contact us and we will refund double the value of whatever was not delivered.
It is the sender's responsibility to review all of the information shown
in their email receipt, and to contact us if any changes need to be
made, or if an order needs to be cancelled. We are not responsible for
deliveries that could not be made due to inaccurate information given
by the sender. Also, if a customer places an order but provides information
that prevents delivery such as a bad work or home address, we may only
be be able to give a prtial refund or in some cases no refund at all.
FloristHotline.com is not responsible for any order where the recipient
refuses to accept the item. FloristHotline.com will not issue refunds in
this case. We will also not issue refunds where delivery was accepted
at the delivery location, but the recipient for some reason did not
get the flowers. An example of this would be a delivery to the recipient's
job while they are out of town for the week.
FloristHotline.com is not liable for customer errors during the order process
that result in items being delivered that the customer did not orignally
want to order. During our shopping cart checkout process, the customer
is shown a complete summary of their order before it is submitted, and
they are given the option to remove items or change the quantity ordered.
No refunds will be given in these cases.
Due to various seasonal and regional conditions, availability of some
flowers may be very limited in certain areas. Also, specific flower
varieties or colors may not be available for delivery on a specified
day. Because of this, it is possible that the exact arrangement pictured
on our website or requested by the customer may not be available for
delivery. In these cases, the local florist will deliver similar flowers
of equal value and beauty. Every effort will be made to maintain size,
shape, and overall color schemes of an arrangement, but there may be
some variance due to designer interpretation. In single variety arrangements,
variety will take preference over color.
FloristHotline.com reserves the right to reject any order that we deem as
possibly fraudulent. All transactions are in U.S. currency.
Flower
Care
Keep
flowers in a cool spot (65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit), away from direct
sunlight, heating or cooling vents, direct drafts from a ceiling fans,
and the tops of televisions or radiators. (Appliances like televisions
give off heat, causing flowers to dehydrate.).
Keep the vase filled with water containing floral food provided by your
florist. Be sure to follow the directions on the package. Floral food
is a combination of additives that help to nourish the flowers and prevente
bacteria from growing. Improperly mixed floral food can do more harm
than good. If the solution becomes cloudy, replace it entirely. If possible,
recut the stems by removing one to two inches with a sharp knife. Remove
leaves that will be below the waterline. Leaves in water will promote
bacterial growth that can harm the flowers.
If your flowers arrive in wet foam, keep the floral foam soaked in water
containing floral food provided by your florist. Be sure to follow the
directions on the package.
If your flowers have woody stems and branches (such as Quince, Forsythia,
or Lilac), cut the stem with sharp pruning shears. Place in warm water
containing fresh floral food to promote flower opening.
